Hogan 'screw job'...shoot , or an elaborate work by Vince Russo?If anybody saw or heard about Bash at the Beach this Sunday they would know that one of the biggest programs in pro wrestling history took place.
Jeff Jarrett was scheduled to face Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ... Jarrett came to the ring with the returning Vince Russo ... Hogan came out, and got in the ring ... Jarrett returned to the ring and laid down in the middle of it, not moving ... Hogan looked around, not knowing what was going on ... Russo went and grabbed the WCW World Heavyweight title, and threw it in the ring to Hogan, and left the ringside area, not looking back ... Hogan asked for a microphone;
Jarrett still lying in the ring ... Hogan got on the microphone and said something along the lines of "This is why the company is in such bad shape, because of bullshit like this." ... Hogan then put his foot on Jarrett's chest, and "won" the WCW World Heavyweight title ... Jarrett immediately rolled out of the ring, disgruntled. ... Later on, Vince Russo came out and cut a promo on Hogan ... In the promo he said we would "never have to see that piece of shit Hogan again" ... He also said that the WCW World Heavyweight title meant nothing anymore, and as far as he was concerned, Hogan could keep it, and Russo renamed it the "Hulk Hogan Memorial Belt" ...
Russo said that he is still in WCW for all the people who Hogan held down ... He is creating a new belt, and Jeff Jarrett was still the champion of that belt ... He then signed Booker T vs. Jeff Jarrett later on in the night for that title, where Booker ended up winning. ...
Now , on Nitro last night Booker T re-tained the WCW Title (which was way too big for him by the way) by defeating Mike Awsome. No Hogan , No Jeff Jarret re-match , although Jarret went to to win the rights to a re-match later in the night.
I only have one thing to say......Put the belt on Steiner!!! He is the BIGGEST man in pro sports today , he has alot of technical in ring talent , and he can work the stick and work over the fans like no one else in WCW. Y2Joe's Matrix News Brief - 7/13/00Due to the busy schedule of Sasha , I took it apon myself to do this weeks news brief. So here you are slapasses!

Hi everybody , and welcome to another addition of Y2Joe's WWF News & Rumors. Once again , i'm sorry about the long time between updates , but things are rather hectic right now. So also excuse any minor grammatical screw-ups. =) In a few weeks things will slow down and updates will be more often , I promise you. Anyways , theres alot to talk about this week in the world or wrestling , and for the price of 0 easy payments of 0 dollars a month its worth your while! So kick back , relax , and lets all mark out together!

- First off i'd like to address the Hulk Hogan - WCW issue. Now , from what my sources are telling me this is indeed a shoot. Members of the WCW broadcasting crew have recieved memo's asking them not to mention Hulk on any WCW telecasts. Rumors are also flying around that Hulk Hogan and FOX t.v. are discussing a deal to make a NEW promotion that will include wrestlers from all of the big 3 , ECW , WCW and the WWF , with Hulk being the man once again. Now trust me , these are just RUMORS , so I wouldn't count on any of this going down until a officail notice is made by FOX. Another rumor has Hulk going back to WWF for one last run and a possible feud with The Rock. Now i'm not very aware of Hogan and Vince McMahon's status as buisness partners , but if you recall it was Hogan and Randy Savage among others went on trial against Mr. McMahon before both were released from the WWF. So if you ask me , there is no love lost between Vince and Hogan , and a deal among the two would be nothing short of a miracle. But then again , anything can happen in the WWF.......

- Scott Steiner of WCW was recently inteviewed by WOW magazine , heres some of the things Big Poppa Pump had to say : *In regard to the popular belief that Steiner uses steroids - " I don't use steroids. We have testing on a regular basis , so its impossible. Anyone that says I use steroids is just jealous because they're not a genetic freak like me. The only thing thats different about me now from a few years ago is that I lost about 20 pounds to get leaner , which makes your muscles stick out more."
*When asked about how people treat you when you hit the big time - "People basically suck. They can see you on TV and everything changes. They all want something from you."
*What he would do if he ran WCW -"If I ran WCW i'd get rid of all the old guys. Noboby can beat father time , so what makes these old guys think they can?"
*And my favorite line of the interview: " There are only two other people like Hogan , Bozo The Clown and Ronald McDonald. Think about it , the hair cut like Bozo , the red and yellow like Ronald......same guy? Who knows."

- Right now things are looking good for Stone Cold Steve Austin , who should be back in the ring by the end of August. He will be re-diagnosed in a few short weeks , where the doctors should tell Steve if hes ready to go or not. Austin has been stated on the record as saying that he will go no matter what by the end of August. He says that he doesn't think anyone will give him a clean bill of health anyways , since this is his second neck injury. (The first suffered after a botched piledriver by the late Owen Hart) But he did promise that he'll do whatever he can , and give his best every night out. He says that his fans don't deserve anything less than 100%.

- The WWF has been making major angle changes as of late , in anticipation of 4 stars returning. The first is Tazz who will be able to compete full time in the next week or so. Tazz will be pushed into near main-event status when hes 100% healthy. The next is The Big Show who will be back in the next few weeks after knee surgery. He will also be pushed into the upper echlon of the WWF. Third is none other than Steve Austin. He will no doubt be pushed straight to the top , since he was never really knocked off to begin with. And last but not least is Billy Gunn. He may be back as early as the end of August or as late as mid October. But one thing is for sure , the WWF is very high on him aswell.

- From what i've been hearing lately , The Rock will hang onto the WWF title at Fully Loaded against Chris Benoit and possibly move towards a program with Kurt Angle. Triple H should be in a main-event type angle with Chris Jericho for the the rest of the summer , and The Undertaker will be involed with Kurt Angle shortly , then possibly Benoit or Kane. Look for Austin to get pushed into the any angle The Rock may be in at the time of his return , as the rattlesnake will be going after his WWF title for sure.

- Macho Man Randy Savage is rumored to be working out a deal with TNN to appear on episodes of RollerJam. Now , I for one think this is a bad move for Savage if he does indeed go through with it. Although they may be offering up a large ammount of money , I feel like he has a few years left in wrestling before its all said and done. Have you seen the arms on this guy lately? God! He doesn't get older , he gets BIGGER!

- Triple H and Chyna could be re-united in the next few months , as the two have expressed interest in working with eachother again. Chyna is being used to help get Eddy over in his Latino Heat angle , and Triple H is on the brink of a break-up with Stephanie McMahon. (Which is rumored to take place at SummerSlam) I think another angle with Chyna would present another title reign for Triple H. I sure hope it happens. How bout' you?

- The Rock is among the finalist to be a new agent in The Matrix 2 , which starts shooting in late August. Speaking of wrestlers in movies , former wrestler Taylor Mane is Sabretooth in the new movie X-men. Congrats to him aswell. Steve Austin may have a semi-leading role in a movie next summer as the leader of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. The company that is producing the film has already contacted him about the role. No word yet on whether he has said yes or no as of press time.

- Well , todays update is kinda short as you can tell , but its a good update nonetheless. =) In TWM news , we have created a new section of our site called "Fan Forum Interviews" , where each week there are 3 new interviews of fans and friends of our site. Who knows , maybe you'll be the next fan forum interview!?!?
