Brock Lesnar of the U. of Minnesota has signed a developmental contract with the WWF and will start in Ohio.
The Rock just conducted an interview/filming with Dateline NBC and it's host Stone Philips.
Taka and Funaki will be re-signing very soon and JR thinks this is a great thing...maybe JR is losing it. Also Bull Buchanan is set to sign an extension to stay with the company.
Billy Gunn and the Big Show are both progressing well. Billy should be back around September. Also in injury news, the Undertaker is still not 100% but JR says he refused to stay out any longer.
Al Snow will be on a promotional tour in Hawaii this month.
JR says the women of the WWF are being given a new creative direction and hopefully something good comes out of them soon.
Mick Foley, Mr. Ass and Ivory will represent the WWF at the New York City Licensing Show next Tuesday. Kane, Triple H, and Stephanie do the same Wednesday and the Dudley Boyz handle the duties on Thursday.
The King is going to do the artwork for Mick Foley's children's Christmas book later this year. Speaking of books, the WWF Cookbook will be out around October, should be interesting.
JR praises the Dupps and says they should get called up to debut on TV soon. He also gives praise to Scott Vick and says the sooner he adjusts to the WWF style the sooner he'll be seen on TV.
Tazz is working hard to return to the ring and will probably return at a slender 230 lb. JR reassures everyone that ticket sales are still strong and then says some of the signs on TV have been hysterical.
JR plans on writing a book or two and share his experience in the business for the last 20 years. He says he has notes from meetings, etc., that would fuel the book.
JR says it's great that all the younger guys are getting a chance to speak on TV and that the talent in the WWF will in no way dry up as the years progress. JR says Benoit is maybe the best guy out there night-in and night-out.
JR credits Saturn with tuning up his in-ring work and having a great attitude towards working with the WWF.
